From Crafting a Luxury Hotel's Signature Blanket to Spreading Cozy Joy Worldwide.
It began with a challenge. As a luxury hotelier obsessed with comfort, Michael Kreiger wanted to create a blanket for hotel rooms that was more than just an accessory - something irresistibly cozy and soft, oversized, great for sleep, and durable enough to withstand hotel wear and tear. After months of research and development, he finally found a fabric that felt 'just right'.
Two years later, Sunday Citizen blankets were exceeding even his highest expectations. The hotel store was regularly selling out of them, many mysteriously "went missing" (ahem) from the hotel rooms, and his own friends and family couldn't sleep without them. Guests claimed the superior comfort of the blankets helped soothe and reduce their anxiety.
That’s when it hit Micheal - this was a product that deserved to be shared with the world. So, he partnered with a close-knit team to form a family business with one key mission: to create joy through comfort, one soft piece at a time.
